The Process
Transparency about how donations are used is essential. Here is how the process works:
- GiveIndia collects beneficiary profiles and requirement details from trusted nonprofit partners and networks.
- GiveIndia independently verifies these profiles and validates the monetary needs to ensure authenticity.
- When feasible, given local restrictions and safety concerns, GiveIndia conducts physical verification of beneficiaries.
- Funds raised are distributed by vetted nonprofit partners who follow GiveIndia’s diligence and distribution policies.
Fibe and its partners aim to support donors throughout the process. As an incentive, EarlySalary will contribute an additional 50% for every INR 100 donated, up to a maximum contribution of INR 100. Every contribution, however small, matters. Small donations collectively create meaningful impact for daily wagers who depend on aid for essentials. Donations made through this platform are tax-exempt under Section 80G (India) and relevant 501(c)(3) provisions for international donors, where applicable.
How Much Impact Can I Make?
To give a sense of scale: a donation pool of INR 7,000 can support one family in a tier-1 city for one month, while INR 5,000 can support a family in a tier-2 city for a month. All funds raised are dedicated exclusively to meeting basic needs such as dry rations and other essential supplies for daily wage households affected by the pandemic. No fees are deducted from the raised funds for this campaign. The current target is to raise INR 30 lakh to help families across the country withstand the economic consequences of COVID-19.
